Affiliate Programs & Resources
So you need a point of reference to start your affiliate marketing, Okay then check out this post. The list includes forums and affiliate communities along with well known affiliate directories and a whole lot more. Everybody has their own idea of what’s best in affiliate marketing so please feel free to leave your suggestions.
Product Review Finder: From the Lazy Marketer, this guy has got his stuff together, absolute tons of materiel for the discerning affiliate. The Unbiased Review Finder specifically searches consumer-driven product review networks, forums and communities in virtually every market so that you can find out what real customers have to say about a product you might be interested in promoting.
Viral Networks: This affiliate community is a thriving portal of fellow affiliates that you can communicate with to swap ideas. It has a bundle of promotion tools and resources for you to use including social network tools like twitter to broadcast your offers. The main dashboard includes options to upload your own videos and also gives you a free blog.
Leads Leap: Kenneth Koh has been at the helm of this affiliate website for quite a while now and from personal experience I have to say is one the better places to advertise your program. Leads are the main point of this site; never short on information and free promotion tools, you earn credits by clicking through ads either by email or onsite at the main website or his blog. Recently he added a widget which you can see on my blog; this credits you every time someone clicks through to read a post or ad. You can of course upgrade and really connect to thousands of leads that are in your industry.
Forums to Chat or Outsource, these are all great places to start if you need to get a grip with affiliate marketing, some real nuggets of information to be found.

A few of these sites allow you to put your own affiliate programs online and include upload facilities for your videos.
AffiliateSeeking.com (My Favorite) this one might be the only directory you need. They have a huge database that includes PPC, CPA, PPL and pretty much any ad program that can be tailored to your needs.
DataFeedFile.com (sites own description) DataFeedFile.com (DFF) gathers data feed files from thousands of Online Stores (merchants), we categorize and process data feed files to create a usable and searchable database. DFF’s main focus is to help webmasters (Affiliates) create price comparison shopping functionality easier and faster without needing their own database

ShareSale.com, (very popular) the idea - and the implementation - are simple. You decide which merchants to promote and how to promote them, and when commissions are generated, you can see your stats in real-time. All payments are consolidated from the programs you participate in, and are paid with one check or direct deposit by ShareASale.
ClickBank - One of the largest and most popular affiliate networks, ClickBank has a worldwide reach and allows webmasters to monetize their Web site with a huge range of campaigns (over 10,000). The network features a large number of Web and software products, including “eBooks”, downloads and more, which you can add to your sites to earn regular monthly commissions. New Hop Ads widget can now be added to your site, just input your keywords for relevant offers, all imbedded with your affiliate link.

Promote products in our marketplace and earn commissions as a PayDotCom affiliate. Our members area will allow you to track stats such as clicks, sales, and conversions
ValueClick Media - An American CPA (Cost Per Action) affiliate network containing hundreds of schemes that you can use to generate income from your site
Wholesale Resale Rights, Private Label products
Mike Mazzella ResellRightsWholesaler.com Ok this is one of my affiliated sites, but it does give you access to a huge library of Resale Products. Materials include E-Books, Video Tutorials, Software, Templates and Graphics all for a low monthly payment.
I would appreciate any feedback here for more links because quite frankly it’s a jungle out there.

Affiliate Marketing is not as easy as many claim. To build a successful affiliate business, you need to study ways to market the products/services that you wish to sell through the affiliate model. There are many great resources out t/here.

These look like some good resources for anyone looking to get involved in aff. Someone is always telling me I should give it a go, but I wouldn’t know where to start, but I think you have enough there to go on for anyone who already knows about internet promotion.

Hello, Its always a good idea to have plenty of choice don’t you think?
For anybody starting out for the first time in affiliate marketing I would
suggest they go for the more solid and reliable programs, you have to get
your feet wet at some point.
A lot of these sites have excellent educational resources,
Thanks for your comment

Do you have any recommendations for alternatives to AdSense? I have some site I was thinking about sticking something like that on to see how it went. One I saw recently is PeperjamAds. I don’t know if that is any good.

Hi David,
Well at the moment i still rely on Adsense for most of my earnings, but i do use Pepperjam occasionally, they do have some great resources. I think it is the general consensus that to get the really good payers you need to have at least 10,00 unique visitors to your blog or website each month, you can then set your own prices. Try out a few of the cpa or ppc networks, check out the latest post Top 50 affiliate networks.
