Will i succumb to the rest of the Blogsome, and for ever be consigned to the backside of existence. What a load of old bollocks….But seriously folks how do you approach saturation in your blog. Be inventive and go off topic now and again like this post i am writing right now. There must be millions of blogs out there now in cyberspace that have been forgotten by their owners; I was reading this blog the other day and it brought  up some interesting points about blogging and the gap between the established players and those who have no idea about how to write a blog let alone compete. The following are some intersting views from other sources >>>
The Observer run a top 50 of what it believes to be the world’s 50 most powerful blogs.

With blogs from Prince Harry in Afghanistan to Tom Cruise ranting about Scientology and footage from the Burmese uprising, blogging has never been bigger. It can help elect presidents and take down attorney generals while simultaneously celebrating the particulars of our everyday obsessions.

Yes, saw that and had a peek. Some of it was quite interesting, but it was a bit irking to see it described as the 50 most powerful blogs, when it really wasn’t - would have been better described as “50 famous blogs that we found interesting”, but that’s not nearly such as good way to sell papers!

It is a hard job to judge the ‘power’ of a blog though. Blogs exercise two types of power I think. There are the massive ones like Daily Kos, which can direct a large and relatively general readership, but there’s also the subtler power of very niche ones, which get the attention of a very specialised or professional audience, and their strength lies in speaking direct to the decision makers rather than mobilising lots of vocal but less powerful users.

Funny tho, as diggable lists are one of the sneaky ways to market your blog too ;)

Almost every blogger aims to grow their blog and reach a larger audience. Unfortunately, most new bloggers don’t know much about promoting a blog when they start out. How Many Blogs Do You Read Daily? … Some of those feeds are not real blogs. There are many different types of blogs, differing not only in the type of content, but also in the way that content is delivered or written. … Some are video blogs which offer a different medium to engage the viewer, apparently if you believe all the hype then the video blog is very popular and is gaining more and more followers. I suppose it is just another way to get your message across to the masses.   And dont forget all the blogs on the social network sites, these and others should be included in this debate.

Tech Liberation’s view

Dave Sifry of Technorati has been putting together lots of good info in these reports, but (a) it is not standardized (the totals are from random months); and (b) he stopped producing it last year (the last report is from April 2007). There are also other questions I have not been able to figure out: Should the totals include individual profiles at social networking sites? If so, how would they be counted? How are “splogs” (spam blogs) defined and factored (or not) into these totals? Should Twitter and other forms of “micro-media” factor in?

So to all bloggers professional and part time don’t let the knockers knock you down, keep on bringing fresh content to the people and the world, Bloggers Unite.  I am allways changing direction, some days i dont have a thought in my mind and other days i am gushing with thoughts and ideas.

If you enjoy blogging then you will find that there is a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, you will travel the blogsphere and meet many strange and interesting people perhaps even form relationships and conquer your fears what ever they may be. i’ll stop now!
