The hosting upgrade saga is now at an end, Web-Work At Home migration to a new host is complete. Well here I go again, yet another hosting change for Web-Work At Home but none the less a very timely and successful outcome. Web-Work At Home upgrade complete

At long last the hosting upgrade for Web-Work At Home is now complete. It wasn’t exactly the smoothest process in the world. There were misjudged errors on my part because of the need to expedite the upgrade process. Since this was my first major hosting upgrade it was shall we say a little nerve wracking? The whole process of transferring from one hosting plan to another should be a painless task but as I found out it was anything but. So here is a quick condensed view of the problems I came across when upgrading my hosting plan.

Server Crash: 2 hours 28 minutes 22 seconds can be a lifetime

Network down: Yep it happened again, only this time the issue was connected to a new service which was unannounced by Hostgator called Attracta. Attracta is a new SEO service which suddenly appeared out of nowhere, there was no forewarning through email or the Hostgator Announcements box on cPanel. There was an announcement in the new services box with another more detailed box at the footer of cPanel detailing further service options. I was naturally drawn to the brightly coloured icons like a bee to honey. Big mistake….
