Can you Make Money on AdWords?

It wasn’t so long ago, that it was easy to make money with AdWords.  You didn’t need to know that much about PPC advertising.  You could get ads for pennies, and you only needed to have limited funds to get you started, you could sit back and watch your income increase as you made money on AdWords.

But, like any easy and simple way to make money when it becomes over popular it kind of dries up. The more people that joined in, the harder it became to make easy money with AdWords.  The increased competition drove up prices on AdWords ads, and what had previously cost pennies now cost dollars.  (So find a niche that is highly targeted and less crowded)

People who don’t pay attention to their PPC campaigns start losing money very quickly.  This no doubt came as a shock to many, who were sitting back in their comfy chairs without a care in the world (present company excused:-). Many people who made money gave up, saying that it was now impossible to make the same kind of profits that they were used to with AdWords.

And to a certain degree those people were right about one thing, it no walk in the park anymore to make money on AdWords.  But that doesn’t mean it’s impossible to do. You just need to work smart, not hard, there’s no use just throwing money at it and expect to make money. If you know what you’re doing, you can still be profitable with AdWords, no matter what your budget.

What you need to do today to make money on AdWords is simple: you need to research your keywords and choose them carefully, and you need to put some time and effort into your AdWords ad and landing page.  (Google Quality Score) You need an edge in every aspect of Google AdWords Policy. So check out their guidelines.

By choosing the right keywords, you can be sure that you don’t have too much competition that drives the price of the ad up, while still picking keywords that have enough weight and are feasible for your campaign. It just takes a little more thought and effort to make money on AdWords than it used to.

By taking your time and researching your AdWords ad, and make sure that you follow up with what you promised in your ad on your landing page, you will find it easier to make money on AdWords.  There are so many AdWords ads out there that don’t do this so you have an advantage straight off by doing this. The higher the perceived quality of your ads and you’re landing pages, the easier it will be for you to convert that into a sale and make money on AdWords.
