If you really want to get a fly on the wall view of your blog’s activity then get yourself a topnotch desktop application. Yes I know I have said in the past that I use Google analytics and I still do, BUT… since I got accepted for this beta software application from Woopra I don’t want to use anything else. It’s just so fan dabby dozy and I am an instant fan of its slick sexy looks.
But seriously folks
Apart from its sleek looks it does pack a hell of a punch when it comes to statistics. As well as showing you how many visitors came to your site it cleverly integrates a well laid out interface that a child could understand, and I think that its simplicity is one of its more endearing aspects. Here’s a short list of stats that you can gather…
Content: What posts or pages are being viewed and how many hits they get (all in real time)
Referrer: Where your visitor came from and how they got to your site including keyword tracking.
Timeline Graphics: Get a snapshot of your busiest periods and monetize ….
Live: Click the live button to see who is on your blog and what they are reading, what browser, Host, Country, City, Language, and Screen Resolution and of course time. Oh I forgot it tells you who referred them to your site. But the great thing about the live view is you can tag the visitor, which can come in handy for repeat visitor stats don’t you think? You can even start a conversation, but I’m’ not quite sure how that works yet.
Analytics Button: Here’s where you can slice down the stats and take a closer look at the following areas.
Tabs :>> General Overview>>Geo Overlay>>Countries>>Tagged Visitors>>Bounce Rate>>Visit Durations.
Search Queries: You can drill down the information given from search queries as well as the keyword weight.
Negatives: Nothing in this world is perfect and there are one or two bugs to iron out, I have noticed that my theme doesn’t quite load as it did before I installed the Woopra plugin, but this is pretty minor, you can of course just stick to inserting the code manually. There is a lively community forum for discussing bugs and any technical issues. It did take nearly a month before I was accepted into the beta program, but it was worth the wait. Checkout their forum for the latest news and FAQs

This looks like a pretty impressive program! I’ve been using Clicky along with Google Analytics for a while and am very happy with the combo. Woopra looks very promising though.
